Samsung Galaxy S20
Samsung Galaxy S20

Samsung launched added a new phone to its Galaxy S series, If I describe Samsung Galaxy S20 in nutshell then I would say that Samsung Galaxy S20 is an upgraded version of the S10 and a bit pricy as well and a little cheap than its other sibling S20 Ultra and S20 plus. In my opinion, the Galaxy S20 is the most consumer-friendly flagship phone from Samsung. This is a powerful 5G ready phone. The main attraction of this phone is its display and 5G capabilities.

Design and Display Of Samsung Galaxy S20

Display Of Samsung Galaxy S20
  • The screen size of the Galaxy S20 is 6.2 inches with full HD+ with 2220 x 1080 resolution, for the most part, it does a good job and saves battery. Another major upgrade is the refreshed rate on this phone which is 120 Hz. This is almost double from most of the current phones. This does not only improve your gaming experience but also increases performance for your day to day to work.
  • The touch sensitivity of the Galaxy S20 is also improved a lot from S10, So playing games on this one gives you a way better touch-responsive experience than previous S series phones.
  • Though the Galaxy S20 screen is slightly bigger than the S10, with a 20:9 aspect ratio. It is taller but also narrower than S10.
  • Samsung Galaxy S20 currently has the best screen in the market with great picture quality.
This is the first phone in the Galaxy series that remove or I would say replace the 3.5 mm headphone jack. So to use your normal headphone you need to use an adapter. Though the Galaxy S20 has a glass finish on the back, still it gives you a premium feel.
  • Samsung does offer an on-screen fingerprint scanner on this phone, but I think this should be more responsive. Because sometimes when I need faster access to my phone, entering a pin to unlock the phone is faster than the fingerprint scanner.

Camera Of Galaxy S20

  • With this new launch of the Samsung Galaxy S20, Samsung gives you a really good camera with this phone. On this new phone, the camera is excellent, but if you look only at the specs of s20 with s10, you may not find any improvement.
  • But if you compare the actual picture then you can see the real improvement. Samsung gives a triple camera setup with a 12 MP wide camera and  64 MP as the primary camera and 12 MP ultra-wide camera.
As a front camera, Samsung gives you a 10 MP camera with autofocus technology. Samsung has increased the size of a single-pixel count on this new Galaxy S20. So with this phone, you should capture more detailed photos and lighting.
So overall the cameras are pretty good. They may not be the best in the market but they are perfect for your day to day use. Another best part of this new phone is, Samsung gives you 8K video recording capability, which is a game-changer in my opinion.
  • The next best thing is Samsung’s camera app which in my opinion is the best in the smartphone market. It is easy to use camera app the increases your overall camera experience. The camera app works with a hand gesture and also opens with a lock key.

Performance And Software Of Galaxy S20

Hardware Specification Of Galaxy S20
Hardware Specification Of Galaxy S20
  • Samsung launched this new S20 with different chips, which chip your phone has depends on the country in which you live. If you lived in the US then you will get the t Qualcomm’s top-end Snapdragon 865 and for the rest of the world, it is Exynos 990. Both of these two chips are good and capable to run any apps and games smoothly.
  • This S20 has 12 GB of RAM which complements the processor to run faster. We did not found any issue while I using this as my primary phone.
Samsung does have some pre-install apps on it but the best part is you can always uninstall them from your phone.
  • Galaxy S20 has 128 GB of storage but if you are recording in 4K, then you need more space. Though Samsung Galaxy S20 supports a 1TB MicroSD card, in my opinion, it should have more internal memory.

Battery life of the Samsung Galaxy S20

Galaxy S20 comes with 4000 Mah battery storage When I use it as my primary phone. It easily lasts the whole day. But If you play games or watch videos with full sound then it may not work the whole day.
The good thing about this phone is its fast charging facility, the phone charged from 0% to 100% within just an hour.
